Ryan Tan, a Senior at The Oakridge School, will be presenting his paper "Passively Powerful: Reviewing Frankenstein as a Feminist Text" for the 2017 Frankenstein Colloquium

Ryan Tan is a senior at The Oakridge School, which he has attended since first grade. Ryan has been named as a National Merit Semifinalist and serves as the Student Body President. Since freshman year, he has performed in the yearly spring musical and is set to star as the Cat in the Hat in Seussical this February. He loves music, from playing bass in drumline to singing with the a capella choir to giving volunteer piano lessons. After graduating this year, Ryan plans to major in psychology, theatre, or English.

Ryan will be reading his paper during the 3rd block in Session A, in a workshop titled “Feminism in Frankenstein.”  The session will take place in the upper school Black Box Theatre at 1:15pm.
